1. Who we are

globalize.now SIA (registration no. 40203770263, Latvian Register of Enterprises, registered office Riga, Latvia) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: support@globalize.now

2. What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

• Account data (name, email, sign-in details): to create and run your account. Basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Repository data: when you connect GitHub or GitLab, we access the repositories you authorize to read source and locale files and to open pull requests or push translations. Basis: contract.
• Content you submit (source strings, locale files, glossaries, style guides, project settings): to provide translation and localization. Basis: contract.
• Billing data (plan, invoices, payment status): to charge you and meet accounting obligations. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see full card numbers. Basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Usage data: cookie-free product analytics to understand and improve the product. Basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the service.
• Support data (chat messages and emails you send us): to help you. Basis: contract and legitimate interest.
• Email: service emails (e.g. job finished, billing) and onboarding tips about using the product. Basis: contract for service emails; legitimate interest for onboarding tips, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• AI assistant connections: if you connect globalize.now to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or another MCP client, we receive the requests the assistant makes on your behalf (for example listing projects or adding a language) and return results to it. We receive only what's needed to fulfil those requests. Basis: contract.

3. AI processing

Translation content is processed by Anthropic. Code conversion is processed through OpenRouter using DeepSeek models with zero-data-retention settings. Your content is not used to train AI models. No decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made about you solely by automated means.

4. Who we share data with

We use these service providers (subprocessors): Hetzner (hosting, Germany), Cloudflare (network, security, storage and compute), Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Anthropic and OpenRouter (AI processing), Resend (email), Chatwoot (support chat and help centre), OpenPanel (analytics), and GitHub/GitLab (repository access you authorize). Each processes data under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your data and do not use advertising pixels or advertising cookies.

5. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. Retention

• Translation job working data: deleted after 30 days.
• Code-conversion environments: destroyed after each run; the resulting diff and run log are kept with your project.
• Account, project and content data: kept while your account is active, and deleted when you ask us to delete it.
• Billing records: kept as long as accounting law requires.
• AI assistant connections: access tokens are kept until you disconnect or they expire; related request logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
• Support conversations: kept while your account is active.

7. Your rights and controls

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing.

• Delete: the "Delete account" button in the app removes your user account. To delete your organization's projects and content, email support@globalize.now or use the support chat, and we'll complete deletion within 3 business days.
• Disconnect an AI assistant: remove globalize.now from your assistant's connected apps or connectors, or email us and we'll revoke its access.
• Disconnect a repository: uninstall the globalize.now app from GitHub/GitLab at any time.
• Emails: unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any email.

You can also complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv) or your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use only cookies strictly necessary for the site and app to work. Our analytics do not use cookies.
